How much does it cost to move a dorm room?
Most dorm room moves cost $200-500 depending on the amount of stuff and distance. A typical single dorm room with bed, desk, dresser, and boxes usually takes 1-2 hours and costs $200-400. We provide free quotes—just call 813-563-MOVE with your details.
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes! We offer student discounts for college students with valid student ID. We also have Greek organization group rates, referral discounts, and semester specials. Ask about current student promotions when you call for a quote.
Can you help me move during UF/FSU/UCF move-in weekend?
Absolutely! We’re very familiar with Florida university move-in weekends and the busy schedules. We recommend booking early (several weeks in advance) to secure your preferred time slot during peak move-in periods. We work efficiently to get you moved in quickly even during the busiest times.
What if my dorm doesn't have an elevator?
No problem! We’re experienced with walk-up dorms and buildings without elevators. Our movers handle stairs regularly and know how to navigate tight stairwells with furniture and boxes. There may be a small additional charge for multiple flights of stairs, but we’ll let you know upfront in your quote.
Can you store my stuff over summer and deliver it in the fall?
Yes! This is one of our most popular student services. We’ll pick up from your current dorm/apartment at the end of spring semester, store everything in our climate-controlled facility over summer, then deliver to your new location before fall semester starts. It’s much easier than hauling everything home and back.
Do I need to pack my stuff first?
You can pack yourself or we can pack for you—your choice. Many students pack their own clothes and personal items (saves money), and we provide boxes if needed. If you’re too busy with finals, we offer full packing services where we pack everything for you.
Can you move me from Gainesville to Tampa (or between cities)?
Yes! We handle long-distance student moves between Florida cities all the time. Whether you’re transferring schools, doing summer internship in another city, or moving home—we provide affordable long-distance moving. Get a free quote for your specific route.
What if my parents can't help me move?
That’s exactly why we exist! Many students’ parents live out of state or can’t make it to help. We handle the entire move for you—pack, load, transport, unload, and set up. Your parents can rest easy knowing professionals are taking care of everything.
How quickly can you move me?
We often have same-day or next-day availability for student moves, especially during off-peak times. During busy move-in/move-out periods, we recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. Call us and we’ll let you know our availability for your dates.
Do you move just one or two pieces of furniture?
Yes! Whether it’s just a futon, desk, or a few boxes—we can help. We don’t have high minimums like some companies. Even small student moves are welcome.
Can you help if I'm moving into an apartment with roommates?
Absolutely! We handle shared housing moves all the time. We can move just your bedroom items or coordinate moving multiple roommates into one place. Just let us know the situation and we’ll make it work.
What about moving with friends/sharing a truck?
Are you insured if something gets damaged?
Yes, we’re fully licensed and insured (USDOT #2268216, MC #774466 ). We take great care with student belongings, but you’re protected if anything happens. We can explain our insurance coverage when you book.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit cards, debit cards, and Venmo/Zelle. Many students have parents pay by credit card over the phone—we can arrange that too.
Can my parents pay for the move?
Of course! Many parents pay for their student’s move. We can take payment over the phone from parents, send invoices via email, or however works best for your family.
